Regional climate protection conference A³ on 30 January 2024 in the Neusäß town hall

Climate protection in the Augsburg region. This time, the focus is on good examples of regional climate protection in practice, especially from and for companies.

The districts of Augsburg and Aichach-Friedberg and the city of Augsburg have been working together for many years to implement climate protection measures in the Augsburg economic region. At municipal level, concrete approaches to action and the commitment of regional players are particularly important. The topic of climate protection is also a top priority for the local authorities and will be the subject of the moderated welcome event:

Where do we currently stand globally and where in our region? Modern earth system modelling allows us to deduce what we will have to prepare for by 2050, e.g. in the area of water management. How will the extremes of heavy precipitation and drought change in Bavaria? What can we do and what challenges will we face on the road to climate resilience?

Examples of good practice will be shown, highlighting the colourful diversity of climate protection projects and commitment in the Augsburg region. There will also be an on-site marketplace with partners and exhibitors. Two exciting keynotes on the "Bavaria Plan 2040" by Detelf Fischer and on the topic of "Climate Resilience" by Prof Dr Harald Kunstmann will provide impetus for our region.

Interested companies, politicians, associations, organisations, clubs, cooperatives, the press, local authorities, citizens and research institutions are invited. They all contribute to climate protection, whether through their own activities and campaigns or by supporting others. This year's Regional Climate Protection Conference will focus on practical examples.

The Regional Climate Protection Conference is organised by Regio Augsburg Wirtschaft GmbH together with the cooperation partners City of Augsburg, District of Augsburg and District of Aichach-Friedberg.

We will be represented with an information stand and a presentation.
