Adaptation to climate change for companies in the timber construction industry

Therefore, a transferrable climate adaptation concept is to be developed at a pilot company, Taglieber Holzbau GmbH, for companies in the timber construction industry. It analyzes how the companies are affected and the opportunities and risks for the fields of action "product and product development", "employees and occupational safety" as well as "customers and suppliers" and corresponding measures and action plans are drafted, which are integrated into the internal planning instruments and environmental management systems of the companies should be. A special focus is on the participation of the employees of the pilot company in the creation of the concept.

The above The purpose of the project is to create an overarching, theoretically sound concept for adapting to climate change, which not only supports timber construction companies in adapting to climate change, but in principle also many other trades, such as building services, painters and wallpaperers as well as locksmiths and carpenters who are involved in the expansion of buildings. The project is a joint project with the bifa environmental institute GmbH.
