Action strategy for health resorts and spas with affirmed attributes

Climate change therefore poses a double challenge for health resorts and spas: On the one hand, they must respond to changes in their basic resources, i.e. their natural, specific local cures; because in the worst case this could lead to loss of their affirmed attributes. On the other hand, new, specific offers must be found for their target group – guests seeking recuperation and healing.
This is where the “Into the future with climate competence” project comes in, which is being implemented by the University of Munich and bifa: The intention is to use the specific experience and expertise of health resort and spa employees to develop strategies for how the health resort or spa can respond optimally to the changes.
The project will not only provide answers to pressing climate change issues in health tourism. On the contrary, the results of the planned interviews, workshops and case studies will also be used to develop a training module, which should benefit the employees of all health resorts and spas.
