Energy utilization plan for the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen
What is the energy situation in the district, what is the status of renewable energies? What other renewable generation potential is there, and to what extent? And most importantly: What specific measures can the district and municipalities take to ultimately achieve a climate-neutral energy supply?
On behalf of the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and its 18 local authorities, bifa drew up a digital energy utilization plan on these issues. It includes an inventory of the energy consumption and generation situation, including a greenhouse gas balance, as well as a detailed analysis of potential in the areas of electricity and heat. Geoinformation data was used to map the current situation and potential, for example as a heat register and in potential area maps for ground-mounted photovoltaics and wind power. At the same time, a concept for energy-optimized, inter-municipal sewage sludge use was developed. In intensive coordination, measures were developed at district level and tailored to each individual municipality. The results are summarized clearly and informatively in a central report (published on the district's website) and in individual reports for the municipalities. They serve as a basis and guideline for subsequent implementation decisions.
The Digital Energy Utilization Plan was completed in summer 2023. It was funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy
