Kreislaufwirtschaft 2030 - where is it going?

Hot topics and the professional foundation of the congress rewarded the event organisers with a “full house” on both days.
The podium discussion on the “recycling industry 2030 – where is it going” took place under the moderation of Rudi Erhard of the Bavarian radio broadcaster (“Bayerischer Rundfunk”).
The unanimous opinion is that a proper legal framework is necessary for successful resource management. With around 65% recovery rates, Bavaria is the Germany-wide leader. However, further increases are difficult to achieve.
The recycling industry is faced with some major problems due to the increasing number of globally used new materials. All podium participants agreed that bands are the wrong way, as everyone profits from the free movement of goods. But the consumer is also called upon, as they can help to steer developments through conscious shopping behaviour.
The summary from the event, according to KUMAS Secretary Thomas Nieborowsky, is that recycling industry requirements will continue to increase. The professional exchange during the Bavarian waste and landfill congress will therefore continue to be the ideal platform for business, politics and administration to exchange ideas and experiences in the future.
