Turn of Energy Policies and Wind Power Exhibition
Together with engineers from the bifa environmental institute, visitors will be able to sit at computer terminals and develop their own plan for their local community's turn of energy policies or watch 3D simulations to get an impression of the effects that wind turbines have on the landscape.
The exhibition also signals the start of the planned household surveys in the districts of Baar, Thierhaupten, Holzheim and Münster: These will not only collect information on the population's attitude to the turn in energy policies, but also data on energy consumption, e.g. in relation to building characteristics, the condition of the heating systems or local consumer behaviour. This information can be used to calculate current and future demand and specific savings potential can also be identified.
In June 2014, the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and the bifa Umweltinstitut, Augsburg held 17 discussions with representatives of the municipal administration, the district council and local businesses. The turn of energy policies is basically welcomed in Baar, but it has also caused uncertainty and disappointment – is one initial conclusion from the survey.
