Insight: Participation formats for the turn of energy policies

The practical partners were the cities of Ulm and Munich, as well as the market town of Markt Meitingen and the municipality of Baar (Swabia).

In the urban area the focus was on living. Here communication strategies and financing models were developed for the planning and implementation of energy renovation measures, but also savings effects and energy consumption behaviour before and after renovation. In the rural area, on the other hand, the priority was on participative development of locally suitable turn of energy policies projects such as heat networks and wind turbines – with the objective of identifying eco-efficient solutions accepted by the population.

The most important results are summarised in "bifa-Einblick: Beteiligungsformate für die Energiewende" (pdf.) (“bifa insights: participation formats for the turn of energy policies”).
