Insight: Renovation with Focus on Saving Energy – Claims and Reality
On the 3rd of July 2015, more than 20 experts in the fields of energy consultation and energy modernisation met with city planners, researchers and representatives of residential construction companies. The workshop participants exchanged views, experience, and expertise. Jointly, they also looked for actionable concepts. They asked the following questions:
How can we balance the economic goal of saving energy through renovation with social requirements? How can consultations and promotions motivate modernisations? Finally, what can energy consultations accomplish after energy-saving renovations when in the renovated building no energy savings occur despite insulating building envelopes and despite new equipment and technologies?
